You're going to get different answers but I personally think it's best to do cardio first thing in the morning and weight lifting in the evening. You will hear people say that morning cardio eats muscle. Personally, I think that's a myth and if you're losing muscle, it's most likely cause you're not eating enough. Weight training should be done no more than 1 hour after eating, which makes doing it in the morning tough. After all, who has the time to wake up, eat, sit around for an hour, then lift weights for an hour, clean up, and eat again? What I do is eat a protein bar right before I leave work. I get home in about an hour and just in time to start my workout.
