1st time treadmiller-eating ??

Hi, I just bought a treadmill to help get a little exercise into my day. With the exception of physical therapy a few years ago when I hurt my back, I've never really used a treadmill or have done any kind of regular exercising.

My question is this. I'm planning on using my treadmill in the morning before I start my day and I'm wondering, should I eat my breakfast before I use it or should I wait until afterward. Am I supposed to fuel my muscles or walk on an empty stomach? Also, same question, if I should want to walk later in the day/evening, is it best to do it after dinner, perhaps a half an hour to an hour, or should I walk and then eat afterward?

Thank you for any advice.

Personally? I would exercise then eat breakfast. An aerobics instructor once told me to not eat before exercising. If you must have something, drink a small glass of orange juice. If I ate before, it would make me sick.

Re: 1st time treadmiller-eating ??

The only time I have to do my treadmill is at night after dinner. I usually do it about a half-hour after eating dinner and have never had it be a problem.
