Losing Weight

Ok, this is a pretty simple question.

I've been trying to lose weight for a long time, and haven't been successful. My question is: what are some tips to lose this? (Hopefully you'll know that I'm male.)

Anyway, that seems like a stupid question. I know diet is the most important thing, so I'm working on that. What I really want to know is what exercises are best for losing weight?

I want to do exercises mentioned by people like you guys who have actually LOST weight doing them. Again, I know diet is important, but I want some exercises to do to.

I hear that cardio is good and all, but I'm not specifically sure what that means. (I'm only 14 and haven't really ever exercised a lot and etc.)

Anyway, if you can help, that'd be really appreciated.

Running, rollerblading, swimming, jumprope etc. are all cardio and that is what is best for fat loss (in addition to diet). Any activity that keeps your heart rate up for 20+ minutes is good for burning fat. I wouldn't advise real weight lifting or anything at your age, but sport activity or anything that forces you to use your muscles is good to keep your body toned and lean.
