I don't understand your theory or how it would help. It would be like bench pressing a rep, holding the weight up for a long time, then putting it back down for one rep. I don't see the point in that. You're probably asking this because you can't do many pullups. My advice to you is to do pullups. The more you do them the better you will be at them. Also if you're working your entire body in the gym which would increase strength and decrease body fat, that would make pullups even easier to do.
