Energy Drinks

I know they are not weight loss drinks or anything. But can they be any good for you? I found one I actually like the taste of, I had one yesterday and today since ive been waking up so early for work that it gives me an extra boost to stay awake.

The one I drink has Ginseng, Taurine, carnitine? And i know there are a few that have creatine too?

My question is can these makes your stomach sick? I've noticed my tummy to be upset yesterday and today (b4 i had the drink) could this do it or no?

I dont think they are so bad if used properly-
directly after your workout, even before in protein

Re: Energy Drinks

"Energy" on bars and drinks usually means sugar. I don't think they're much better than soda, personally.

I have tried many and the best I have found to be is XS Energy Drinks. They are loaded with vitamin B-12 and taste delicious!! I think they are made by Nutralite. Most of those other ones have too much sugar and carbs in them. Check them out, they taste great and give you just that lift ya need in the afternoon.

Re: Energy Drinks

Here's a better formula for energy

Eat well + Sleep 8hr + Workout hard = plenty of energy

Re: Energy Drinks

eating well is hard for me. I have a mixed up schedual. I have class monday through thursday sometimes earlier then ususal. Then I work 4-5 times a week 2 or 3 of those shifts consisting of 1-10 or 2-11. So i dont really have time for a nice healthy dinner.

I rarely go to sleep before 1 or 2 am Im just a night owl i just cant. Last night was the earliest ina while I was in bed and asleep b4 midnight, up at 7:30. I am still working out not as much as i should I know, but im not one of those people who can get up at 6am to work out b4 i go to class.

My only other option is working out later, which i have done before.
