I am wondering exactly what do amino acids do? Do they help with weightloss at all? Can they be taken as a protien supplement? Any help would be great?
Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. It's what protein is made of. They have little to do with weight loss, except that they help to maintain lean muscle which will keep metabolism running high.

So would if it assist in keeping your metabolism high because of maintaing muscle. Would you in turn burn more energy/fat due to this? I ask this because I don't eat alot of meat. And I lack protien , so I have been taking amino acid tablets. I know protien helps with weight loss. Would taking these be of any use? Also I have been taking creatine as well.
Are you doing weight training? You will only burn more energy if you have MORE muscle, not if you're maintaining muscle. Instead of taking amino acid tablets you'd be better off just eating more protein. If you don't eat a lot of meat, here are some alternatives: fish, skimmed milk, low-fat yoghurt, tofu (or another meat replacement), cottage cheese, nuts (but don't eat too much, they're bursting with calories), soy beans...
Protein in itself doesn't help weight loss. If you're doing weight training, protein will build muscle, so your metabolism will speed up.
Stop taking the creatine and get your diet sorted out, you don't sound like you should be using creatine yet.
You're much better off with a whey or powder protein supplement. Free aminos are much more expensive and you'd have to take as lot to get enough of the full range of essential aminos to get even close to what straight protein provides.
