Exercising after a long time and lung pain

Hi All,

I have been relatively inactive for a couple months (and out of shape). Is it normal to have sore lungs after doing a good amount of running and stuff for the first time? Ive never been as sore as I am now. It almost scares me to have sore lungs.....doesnt feel too good...

Adam

How long have they stayed "sore"? What type of soreness? You should expect some amount of discomfort until you're more conditioned, but I'd say your lungs shouldn't be causing pain for much more than 30-60 minutes after exercise even in the most unconditioned cases.

This was yesterday. Today they just seem 'tired' like it feels a little strange when i breathe.(along with my poor legs, ankles and arms from basketball playing).

Were you running outside? Not sure where you live, but here in Texas there is sooo much pollen that if I'm outside just walking the pollen effects my allergies, asthma and breathing. I spent most of the day yesterday planting some flowers and I had problems last night and this morning. Then again, you could be just sore.

Yep, Houston Texas. Born and raised. How about you Naxis? I travel all over Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas for business.

I think the problem is that it's about to rain here and the pressure kills me! That's sad your cat is miserable!! Both of my dogs have sneezed a couple of times today.

adam, you guys are still in the cooler part of the season, huh? Better take it easy! Don't overdo it! Pace yourself. I bet your lungs will get stronger each day.

Just wait till you're feeing 100% again if you plan to continue. Don't want to aggrivate a nasty condition.

Im in san an, btw. I think you guys have it worse. And pollution to boot.
