Unhappy Stomach fat

Hi, I weigh 301 and I go to the gym every other day, I don't eat that much, and I have a very physical job. However, most of my weight is in my stomach. I can't get my stomach fat to go down no matter what I do. Does anyone have any tips for me about how to reduce my stomach? What kinds of exercise videos could I get that wouldn't be too hard for someone my size? No mean replies, please...I am trying really hard to lose this weight, and I get made fun of enough when I go to the gym.

You won't get any "mean" replies here, I think its great your trying to lose some weight. However, weight loss is 80% diet, at least that's my opinion. You can exercise all you want, gym, videos, but if your diet is not in check its a wasted effort. By diet I don't mean eating a 1200 calorie restricted diet that is not the answer. Why not list your exercise routine and a typical day of eating and there are plenty people here who can give you some advice on your current plan first before you spend money on exercise videos.

Have you talked to your doctor? He or she could guide you in the right direction. My advice to you is this: DO NOT think of dieting. Diets DO NOT work in the long run. You have to think of it as a healthy lifestyle. Having the right attitute toward food is important. Your body is a machine that needs fuel to function. Fill it up with lots of veggies, fruit, protein, and whole grains. Try to avoid the white stuff and junk. Everything in moderation is my motto. So many people don't know portion size. You might want to talk to your doctor about that and your daily caloric needs. You should never feel like your starving, just satisfied. Try to avoid eating at least 2 hrs before you go to bed.

Of course eating properly is just one step. Exercise is key. Again talk to a doctor about a program that's appropriate for you. Walking is great exercise. Set goals for yourself and work up to it. Those little accomplishments will help you stay motivated. Stomach fat can be stubborn but it takes awhile!

Be patient. I know how frustrating it can be but hang in there. Congratulations on taking the iniatitive to do something good for yourself! When you start feeling the benefits of those positive changes, you're going to feel like a new person! Good luck ! Post with any questions or concerns. People are very helpful.

Changing your diet does work and I'd imagine that's what route you need to take. Please post your current diet and we'll see what we can change to get you safe, lasting results.
