any suggestions on how to get rid of those hips i got while pregnant? my tummy is nearly gone but i still have those round unbearable hips.
The ONLY way to lose those hips is to lose weight. To do that you must have a healthy diet and execise (especially cardio, 5-6 days a week, 30-45 minutes). There are no shortcuts, no miracle diet pills.
You should also remember that after giving birth, your hips may never be as narrow as pre-pregnancy. The pelvic bones had to adjust (spread) to allow for the birth of your child and that's the part of your hips that will stay that way. The fat deposits on the hips, however, can be lost, as I mentioned, through proper eating habits and exercise.
I actually have that issue a bit too. I lost all my preg weight, but my hips seem to be a bit wider than before. A few of my pants that I fit into at this exact weight pre preg don't fit me post preg at the same weight. Someone told me it takes 7 years for your hips to bounce back, I hope that's not true.
Are you still breastfeeding? If so, your body might be hanging on to some of the fat you put on during pregnancy. My hips went back to their pre-pregnancy size after I stopped breastfeeding and started having my periods again. It was interesting. During my first few periods after baby, I had strange pain in my hips which I have had never experienced before as though my pelvis was realigning. I know it sounds funny.
When was your baby born? In my experience, it usually takes +/- 9mo for the hips to shift back in. Of course eating well and exercising regularly must be a part of that. Also, are you breastfeeding? That can help you lose the weight more quickly....but good ole' fashioned time takes care of the hipshift.
thanx for everyones responses. soryy i didnt respond my internet was down. anyway, my baby is turned 4 month this week. i walk alot cuz he always wants to be outside. i started doing different type of hip excersizes that dont require me to run on the treadmill because that is impossible to do with the baby, i end up running for 5 minutes till he starts acting up....... I do fit into my prepregnancy clothing but i would like those round things at my sides to dissapear and like you all advised excersize is the way to do it. as for the eating part of this............i dont get much time to do that either... lets see today i ate watermellon for brunch but ill prob eat a normal dinner.
