I just started a spinning class at my gym. It seemed like a good workout but I am concerned that it is only working out the lower half of my body. Am I wrong? If I am right do you have an suggestions for an upper body work out?
A strength training program with machines/weights will work upper body. Most cardio workouts are only lower body (running, eliptical machines, biking etc)

Even though most of these machines only work the lower body, you may build some muscle mass in those areas but you won't lose fat from those areas alone. (the myth of spot reduction.)
Excellent point. If you're trying to lose fat, the cardio is primarily good for burning calories which will result in fat loss all over the body. If you're just trying to get a full body workout in, then definitely add some upper body training.

No we haven't been doing push ups but that is an idea. I have been just trying to keep up with the petaling I am looking to loose weight overall so maybe I will just add in some extra strength training. Thanks for all the advice.
