Question Advice On Weight Traing And Cardio

I Have A Question Hopefully Yall Can Help Me With. For The Record Im 5'6 125 Pds. My Goal Is To Tone And Be Firmer But Noooottt Bigger. Curently I Will Do 5 Min Warm Up On Treadmill And Then Move Over To The Mahines. After Them Back To Treadmill/elliptical Machine For About 25-30 Min. So What I Am Wondering Is That I Have Been Duing Reading On Here And Other Places And I Get That I Should Be Duing Weights With Cardio To Speed Up My Metabolizim And Be Leaner. Is This Correct? Also If So How Much Weight Machines Should I Be Duing Per Body Part? How Much Weight? Example Of What Weight I Do Now Like For Arms- I Only Use 2 Machines And Do 25 Reps On Each. Legs- I Do The Leg Press And Do 25-30 Reps And Mabey One More Machine Same Reps. Abs-hyperextension Board And Machine Where You Lift Legs Aup To Chest And Ab Roller At Home. Should I Be Working Muscles More R Is This Enough To Get Me Results? Any Advice Will Be Greatly Appreciated. Thankx :d

Re: Advice On Weight Traing And Cardio

The way you are weight lifting will not get you the results you are looking for. To tone you need to add lean muscle. To do this you need to lift a weight for each body part that you can only get between 10-15 reps in good form. If you can lift a weight more than 15 reps you are not doing anything toward buliding lean muscle and muscle tone. I think about 2 exercises 3 sets per body part is a good start. Don't worry you will not bulk doing this despite what many woman think about lifting a little heavier and more aggressively.

Smile Re: Advice On Weight Traing And Cardio

Thank Yall For Ur Replys And Yall R Right On. I Just Got Back From My Gym And I Spoke With A Personal Trainer Who Made Me Out A Schedule Of Machines To Use On Certain Days. I Am Duing 2 Sets Of 12 Reps. One More Thing I Forgot To Ask Him That Yall May Be Able To Help Me With. Is There A Machine That Yall Know Of That Will Work My Lower Back? I Wont See Him Agian Till Thursday And Im Very Curious About That. I Did A 5 Min. Warm Up On Treadmill And Then About 25min Of Weight Upper Body Chest, triceps, Ect And Then 20 Min Back On Treadmill Running/fast Walking And Then 7 Min. On Elliptical. Does That Sound Like A Ggod Plan?

Re: Advice On Weight Traing And Cardio

Hip extentions or dead lifts hit the lower back (just search for them to find pictures or vid clips).
That plan sounds great.
