If you start exercising, you'll definitely need to eat more to keep from losing weight. In fact, you should think about eating to gain muscle (which will help to get you fit). Increasing protein, good carbs and good fats will help a lot. Also, doing minimal cardio (or do things like sprints), and focusing on weight training will keep you from burning too many calories and will actually help you put on some lean muscle mass if you're eating right.
