I plan on doing my weight training and cardio 1st thing in the morning. Do you think thats a good idea? What are your opinions/advice? Also, should I eat breakfast before or after my workouts? My goal is to lose fat and eventually get lean.
No reason not to do it in the morning. If you're doing weights, eat first. Just something carby like fruit is ok so you don't feel too full. Then something with protein and carbs afterward. (Post workout shake ideally). If you're doing cardio only, do it before you eat. With lower blood sugar in the morning, your body will be more inclined to tap into fat for fuel.

You will probably hear a lot of good things about excercising in the morning and good about in the evening as well. Personally, I like to resistance train in the morning, because anerobic (sp) excercise gets your metabolism up for the day, whereas aerobic gets it up for only 30 mins or so after the activity. Doing my cardio at night makes me feel like I'm "cleaning up", or just burning off those last calories of the day so I can start tomorow fresh. That's only if you have the time, though.
Whatever happens, DON'T get the mentality "if I can't do it in the morning like usual, I'm better off skipping my workout today". I can't stress that enough. Do whatever you can do, and don't blow off your workout if you just have 20 mins available instead of 40. That's how people stop working out in the first place.
