Calves are generally VERY difficult to grow. It takes a lot of effort with very heavy weight and a lengthy time investment to begin to see any gains. The size of your calves is very much genetically effected, you either got them (big) or you don't but with a lot of dedication you should get at least some growth.
I like (free) standing single leg calf raises, also ones done with a Smith machine. If your gym has seated calf machines then use those too. Just remember: heavy weight, lots of repetitions. You can also do calf work with an inclined leg press.
