My knee swole up about a month ago after playing football, and since then its got better, it used to be painful to kneel down, but that pain has all but gone. I went to the doctor and she said my knee looks fine, but compared to the other knee at the bottom there is a little bit more fluid there, and when i tense my leg the ligaments at the back hurt! Does anyone know whats wrong with it?

Another thing thats so anoying is that both of my knee's click and make a horrible grinding noise when i get back up from bending down! My elbows do the same, why!

well you should probably go see a physiotherapist as they could help you much better in person and they are trained, but off the top of my head, the swelling could be fluid buildup that needs to be drained. As for the cracking in your knees when bending that happens to alot of people, I know it happens to me, but that grinding noise doesnt. The grinding could be because you have no cartilage in you knee so the bones are grinding together. But like I said I'm definitely no expert so you should go see a physio.
