exercise for the morning

hi there

what exercise can i do in the morning if i do not feel like jogging?
when i jog i jog outside, but some mornings i do not feel like going outside and would prefer to do something inside the house.

what could i do?
any good suggestions...i would like to do exercise as sson as i wake up...before i have my breakfast.

so what could i do in the house and for how long?

I used to run outside and didn't like it much either and now it's too cold anyway. That's why I invested in an elliptical. Personally, I think home equipment is a good investment if you know you're going to use it everyday. But you could also get a gym membership. There are a lot of options besides jogging or the elliptical, although I think the latter is a great exercise. You could bike, swim, use a rowing machine, or even do a circuit where you do 20 minutes on one and then 20 minutes on another. As far as duration, I would start small like 20 minutes and see how much you can handle. Eventually, you'll want to work your way up to 45-60 minutes per session. After 60 minutes, you'll see diminishing returns so it's not worth doing more than that.

You could get a treadmill...that what i did. You can get a good one for cheap on ebay or recycler.

You also have the option to use aerobics videos like Tae Bo, or the dance type ones. You could also jump rope, do jumping jacks, or work on a punching bag.

thanx

i want to do exercise in my home but without having to buy a treadmill or expensive equipment,cos i am at home now (varsity vacation), but i wont beable to take any equipment with me when i have to go back to varsity..therefore i need exercises i can do indoors.

if i do jumping jacks and jumping rope,how long must i do it for?i do not have a heart rate monitor...ssooo...hmm....

what other suggestions are there for indoor exercise?
