And how can you possibly get rid of the fat on your inner thighs and love handles? And your stomach for that matter? I can't think of or find any workout or exercise that will get rid of that fat because of where it is located. Right now I'm starting to ride bike and run. I heard running is probably the best solution because it can get rid of all that fat, but I don't know. Is that true? Any auggestions as to how to get rid of the fat in those areas? I'd really appreciate it.
If it helps, I'm about 5'9" and weigh about 125-130 lbs. I don't have a very good diet either. I eat a lot of unhealthy junk food. I've been trying to stop that and to eat healthy, but when I'm hungry I crave! |
At your height, the weight you have SEEMS right but what you are is actually what is called "skinny fat". It means that because fat is lighter than muscle, you don't weigh so much but your body fat percentage is actually probably pretty high. To get rid of fat nothing works like a good eating program where you eat a little less than what you need for maintaning your current weight, combined with cardio AND, and that's very important, weight training. Diet and cardio will actually cause a loss of muscle tissue so in order to keep as much muscle as possible, you need a good weight training program. And why do you need all that muscle anyway, you ask? Well, the more muscle mass you have, the higher your metabolic rate will be because muscle is a very active tissue and needs calories to maintain itself. Fat is totally inactive and burns no calories, obviously. So, the more muscle you have the more calories you can eat and still not gain any weight.
All the advice always boils down to the same key points: There is no magic way to lose weight permanently, you need to eat right and exercise.
