| Re: I need to know which of these foods/snacks are not good to eat while bulking up!!!
Well you can scratch off your list as "foods that are not good for you" below...
Strawberry/Cherry Flavored Pop-Tarts
(tons of sugar so tons of carbs, very low protein and for their size, quite high in saturated fats, worse for the 'frosted kind')
Salted Peanuts with 14g of Protein in each bag
(find an unsalted alternative and commonly, peanuts are very very high in fat, example, 1 cup of peanuts adds to well over 100% of your daily fat intake not to mention over 1/2 of your saturated fat intake. They do offer alot of protein though but at a consequence)
Low-sweetened Donuts with 5g of protein, on pack it says good source of protein
(ummm no, those are horrible for you, processed sugars, carbs, definite NO!)
Marshmellow Pies
(about the same as the donuts, lots of refined sugars so lots of carbs)
Granola Bars
(these are decent but i'd personally opt for a protein bar instead, similar to granola)
Apple Sauce
(apples are very high in naturally occuring sugars so personally I wouldn't go with it msyelf but it is better them alot of other things in your list. Apples are extremely high in carbs from their sugar. One large apple has close to the same number of carbs as a can of coke, sugar is about 1/2 that of coke)
Fruit Cocktail
(decent but again, there are healthier fruits out there, like blackberries, etc as 'berries' have anti-oxidents that have many health benefits and low carbs)
Honey BBQ Wings from KFC
(ummmmm NO!)
Doritos
(all refined carbs, tons of calories and not a significant source of anything else really worth eating, also extremely high in sodium ie: salt)
Cheese Pizza
(alot of carbs, cheese contains alot of fat also so it depends what and how much is on the pizza. Pizza in general is a 'no-no' when it comes to healthy diet plans)
Chinese Fried Rice/Egg Rolls
(chinese food is very healthy for you, aside from the deep fried stuff. Alot of chinese food uses some sort of rice or rice noodle which is 'ok' but not ideal as they do contain alot of carbs. Stir fry veggies and a meat (chicken, pork, etc) is a very good choice)
-----------------------
Consider foods like fish (salmon, tuna, shrimp, etc) and snacks like cottage cheese (takes up to 8 hours to break down properly keeping you full for longer, perfect for a before bed snack if your weight training). Lean meats (chicken, pork, extra lean ground beef once in a while) are very good for protein, so are whey powders which most people weight training take to supplement their food intake. Also stay away from white bread, as they are 'refined', stick with whole grains, like flax for bread, etc. Same goes for pasta if you want, find 'brown' breads, 'brown rice' etc.
Good Luck on your plan!!
