How long can you go without getting protein before muscle loss?
approximately how long can i go after a hard weightlifting session before getting a high protein/carb meal? because I work out at bally total fitness health club, and i ride the bus, so after a hard weightlifting workout, I have to get home before I can have that high protein/carb meal maybe it takes me about 40-70 minutes to get home on the bus. By the way i'm 18, 6'0" 160 Ilbs, been lifting for like 15 weeks now, so far training has been good, but still want more mass. So, can a protein bar, or protein shake right after my workout at bally's be okay? until I get home, because I can put a protein bar or shake in my locker, and what should I do and not do to avoid any muscle breakdown? I dont want no muscle loss!!!! I appreciate any feedback thank u all sincerely!!!!!
