Question Bike Riding

How effective is bike riding?? I'm talking at least 45 mins of riding around on the most difficult setting....no hills....I live in Florida. Burn many calories? How effective on my thighs and butt??

I go for a bike ride because it's a great cardiovascular workout & fat burning exercise. I strongly believe that where your body stores the fat that's where it burns it. Everyone is different some people put on fat to there stomach, others to there face first then to another parts of there body, this works in reverse when we burn it off.
Muscle development would be diferent.

Hey Sapphie,
Bike riding is EXCELLENT! Last summer, when i had time, i would go on a strong, 1hour bike ride around my city. Mine, like yours, has no hills. Within 1 week i had already lost 7lbs. Keep at it, also, to help maintain a healthy diet, i would add fiber tablets. They absorb water in your stomach and it makes u full, and it collects unwanted waste in your body. Good luck

I have been biking for a few months now and have noticed a tremendous difference in my energy and muscle tone in my legs. Biking works great but also your body does get used to doing the same excersize over and over and will find ways to cheat to use less energy. So I would recommend either changing up your biking. (I.E. go hard for like a minute then easy then hard for like 30 minutes. Then the next time just go moderate for like 45 mintes.) Also what I do is run in my off days just for a change of pace. Now i really like both. Hope this helps.
