How do I figure out how much weight that I should be lifting without hurting myself, especially on the bench and squats? Also, finding the right weight so I can use good form? For example, if I use 50 lbs on curls, I can do 3 sets, six times. However, the form is not that good. I might be using my back or legs more. I know I need to work the muscle to a fatigue point. You also said that I had to build muscle first before cardio if I wanted muscle mass- why is that? What is the theory behind this concept? The only way you can hurt yourself is if your form is wrong. The weight doesn't matter. Keep your reps from 4-8.....

You must never cheat on an exercise if doing curls and you are using your back and legs lower the weight! What kind of curls are we talking about dumbbell or barbell....
You also said that I had to build muscle first before cardio if I wanted muscle mass- why is that?
