Dude,
5 months is plenty of time to lose 10 pounds.
Ok this is what i think might help:
Weight training. Take this part easy and do not increase the weights you use. If you want to concentrate on losing some pounds/fat burning you should only try and maintain your strength.
In terms of cardio work i recommend slow jog or marching. Make sure to keep it at a comfortable pace, you are not trying to increase fitness. Taking it slow helps the body into burning mostly body fat for energy. If you go too hard your body will burn glycogen first.
You should do this for about 45-60mins 5 times a week. This shouldnt be hard as this is slow aerobic exercise.
In terms of diet i would cut out all carbs from your diet.ie sugar, grains, cereals, pasta, etc Stick to eating fruits & vegetables for carbs. Also eat light and remember to stick to lean meats. Keep fluids up and stick to fresh fruit juice and water, forget all those energy drinks, soft drinks, coffee, etc.
Remember to visualise your goal and see yourself already weighing 110pounds and believe it. Visualisation helps trust me. Maybe some mediation too.
Anyway the above plan should get you down to your desired weight within 5 months, im thinking you can do it in a month though.
Hope this helps,
YMS
