If you are lifting a lot and want to drop some fat, you might try cutting some carbs and upping your protein to keep the muscle mass you have while getting cut. Even a relatively small shift can make a difference. Avoid french fries and pizza (I know, the "all american staples"), anything with a lot of grease or high in simple carbs. If you drink soda, just eliminating that will do wonders. And it's not as hard as it sounds.
I'd also recommend throwing in a little cardio. Maybe run, jog, swim, bike, play basketball... anything to keep the heart rate up for a while, just a couple times a week.
