Post dh gets bad temper when exercising?

Last may my dh started a workout routine. Basically Body For Life..without any suppliments. Just the working out and eating. Well, a week after starting he noticed how edgy he was. And I noticed it too. He'd just loose his temper soooo easy. I thought maybe it was the diet but in July he was sick with a bad cold and didn't work out for the whole month and continued eating the same way. Temper subsided. Then he started again...and temper came back. He goes into a rage...when angry...and this is not like him at all. Now he hasn't worked out in a few weeks due to a virus we all had and his temper is fine. No blow ups or he isn't egdey. Now seeing this I would rather he not workout ever again...yet I know he needs too. Why would there be such a drastic change in his emotions when starting his exercises. And it's all day long...not just during the time he exercises. What do you think?

Any chance he could be taking steroids? It sounds a lot like 'roid rage.

I second that... also possibly natural increase in testosterone from working out. It does sound extreme, though. If he is not taking steroids, you might have him get a blood test to see if his testosterone levels are abnormal. Just my $.02

No, absolutely no steroid use. I wondered though as you said if his testosterone level is abnormal. We've both questioned it. Or maybe I did...and told him that when he exercises that increases his testosterone level which causes the heated temper. I should do some research on this. Maybe it is something.
