Shaving&these damn bumps - Exercise & Fitness Message Board

k, i just started shaving around my chest and groin area(cream&bic). the couple times i've done it though , i get patches of this weird babyish acne or bumps around the area shaved. what is the best way to treat this. Hydrocortisone maybe?

im intersted in an answer as well. I shaved my chest a while back, but got really bad bumps. It was disgusting really - i refused to take my shirt off for a month. talk about defeating the purpose.

neosporin works well...i heard this once on howard stern and works well

I wouldn't use topical steroids long term- it does more harm especially long term. If it is fungus/bacteria caused I would use otc clotrimazole(an anti fungal) w/ a quality aloevera(restores and strengthen skin) cream.
