I was in my local grocery store when I stumbled upon this:
100 g of (dry)product includes:
290 kcal energy
24 g protein!
45 g carbs (1,2 g sugars)
2 g fat (0,7 g saturated fats)
15 g fibers!
7,5 mg iron
200 mg magnesium!
This "product" is
mung beans. And the taste isn't too bad either. Unfortunately amino acid composition isn't perfect so you have to eat some grain products during the same day to get all benefits from it.
Anyway, I think this these beans would be suitable for everyones diet no matter if you're trying to bulk up, maintain or lose weight. With 15% of fiber I guarantee that its GI is very low.
Oh, and this wasn't a paid commercial as I didn't mention any labels.
