Am i overtraining? I need alternate programme

I have a short 7 min Abs programme which doesnt include any breaks. It's all bodyweight exercises and trains everything. But is it too much doing it every single day? And i am aware that i need low bodyfat but i have achieved that. Can you please post a bodyweight programme that you know for sure gives you abs.

Hi Dennis, my first question would be : How old are you? By your nick name, I'd assume you are 18, but not sure. So if you are 18 or so, I think you've got quite more energy than what you've described in your post. 7 minutes a day is not enough. In my opinion it is better to do a 30 minute work out, or even an hour and then have a day or two off, and repeat the program when your strenght is back. Don't get me wrong, what you are doing, is fantastic, because you are doing physical exercises every single day. I couldn't be that regular, but I think what you need is a longer time of fitness activity. Good luck, and stay fit.

If it's a 7 minute intense program with no break, then it's probably a lot harder than it sounds - try (for example) skipping for 7 minutes with no break. It is exceptionally hard.

To the OP, if you already have a low bodyfat then I assume your diet is good - i.e. not too many calories? If you want bigger/more visible abs then you need to get a good supply of protein each day. I would also try to vary your workouts so that instead of doing the same 7 minute routine every day, do that routine twice a week, and come up with another routine for another 2 days, and then take the remaining 3 days as rest.

If you are looking for defined abs you can work out every day and 7min's is not excessive ,you don't need breaks when working only with body weight ,remember though less is more , as in the movements should be done slowly and precise ,going fast you can use momentum rather than muscle stength . Also a lot of people use their hip-flexors or neck muscles .

If you want to build bulk as in a " six pack" you will need to add resistance and work out every other day along with good quality food , though a lot is down to genetics.
