HIIT is great, especially if you're already pretty lean (good shock to the system), but I wouldn't recommend it for every day. It will fatigue you fast and increase risk of injury. Since sprinting/high intensity actually builds muscle, you have to allow for some recovery. Not to mention, unless you are using a bike or eliptical trainer, it can be very hard on your joints. Doing 2 minute intervals sounds fine to me. 15-30 minutes per session, whatever you're up for. Good luck!
