I'm sorry, I don't really know much about Prolab's creatine, but I would guess that it's not any worse than any other pure creatine out there.
20g per day for the first 7 days sounds ok. Just divide it so that you take 5g 4 times through out the day. I've always heard that a 5 day loading stage should be enough, but doing 7 days should be alright.
During the maintenance stage, I think you should take the 5 grams immediately after your workouts, no question. On non-workout days, during maintenance, you should take it when you wake up in the morning.
This is based on what I've read and experienced myself.
