Just keep in mind, sometimes a "program" laid out for you is the best starting point. Anyone
can get in shape on their own, but if you don't have any experience or enough basic information I don't see any problem with the programs, as long as they get you off your butt and give you the impetus to keep learning and working harder. (This does not include gadgets like the ab-doers and all that tripe.)
I don't know about that specific program, though. Anything that includes regular exercise and clean eating will "work".
