Post Muscle repair supplements, glutamine

I've been real physically busy lately and my muscles aren't keeping up. I keep finding myself having to rest 2 or more days instead of lifting every other day. I bought some glutamine tablets from GNC because I wasn't sure what to buy. I believe I can tell a different in how sore I feel the next day, but it could just be in my head.

Anyhow I was wondering what kind of glutamine is the best for my money? I heard people talking about glutamine powder and stuff. If thats more economical im all for it, but when I was searching for it, I found a lot of different kinds of glutamine and stuff. Whats the best? Also, are there any other supplements that help muscle repair? I currently take a multi vitamin in the morning, 5 glumatine pills(1 days worth) a vitamin C and vitamin E.

I was reading some of the posts and one about creatine caught my eye. I was thinking maybe if I took it, I probably wouldn't be so sore, and probably have alot more energy. Im kinda iffy on it though because im only 15 and im real concerned about my height. I wouldn't wanna do anything that might stunt my growth.

Before you go jumping on the supplement bandwagon and wasting money, examine your eating habits, daily routine, etc. A couple of things you could do first would be to talk with your highschool's phys. ed. teacher or coach and see if they can recommend some things to do. heh, usually they can tell you the same thing a physician would without having to spend $$$.

From what you're describing here, glutamine, creatine(or whatever else you would like to try taking), won't do anything for you unless you give your body TIME to recover. You need "time", not just supplements. At your age, the only supplements you should need to use are protein and maybe 5 grams of creatine before your workouts. Stop overtraining yourself and start eating a well-balanced diet(if you're not already doing so) and you should notice a big difference.
Also, remember that it takes tendons & joints longer to heal & adjust to weight training than muscles.
