Perhaps your stomach isn't as bad as you think. The fact that you are already thin and have a very low body fat percentage makes me think that it's all in your mind. Don't worry too much about it as I'm sure when people look at you they aren't saying, "look at her stomach".
On the other hand though, are you retaining water? Are you on your period, or close to it? If you think it may be something more serious, like a distended stomach, a tumour, etc, then I suggest you visit with another doctor if your current gp will not listen to you.
Remember, it's not about how many sit ups/crunches you do, it's about the quality of them. If you do not keep your pelvis to the ground when doing crunches, you are more likely to develop a bulge (pushing your abs out).
Wipe those tears away, put on that fancy dress and your dancing shoes, and have fun at your party!!
