Or is it used up like gasoline in a car? Cuz let's say, for example; I bust out a good hard workout in the morn, then splurge on a steak that afternoon. Will all that great protien 'replentish' my body, or does it have to in there beforehand? How long does it stick around? Any of it still be around for a workout in a couple days?? (gonna be a fat, juicy one)
Best thing to do is right after a workout down a good high protien shake. . . but keep in mind your muscles will be repairing/growing the next few days... so you must keep your protien intake up to rebuild muslce. Thats why alot of people dont gain muscle mass. They'll work out 2 or 3 days aweek and maybe consume a deceint amount of protien on just those days. Basically if you work out routinly your body is continually repairing muscles so you must continue to repair them with protien.
