43 pounds by Halloween is not unreasonable, assuming you are at least 43 pounds overweight.
Drinking a lot of water and cutting down portions is good. However, instead of having a lot of protein shakes and protein bars all the time, it might make more sense to emphasize vegetables, particularly green ones.
Vegetables are bulky, but very low in calories. So you get filled up without eating as many calories, and most veggies are high in vitamins and minerals also. So you can eat a nice big salad or vegetable stir-fry (watch the dressing and oil!) with a few ounces of meat, and maybe a little bread, and leave dinner satisfied.
If you are on your feet carrying stuff all day, you probably do get plenty of exercise already, but the toning at the gym will be a definite help.
