During a circuit training session, I was doing push ups with my abdominal muscled really tensed, and I felt a pop/rip and then got a severe stabbing pain immediately. I was in agony, but managed tocarry on even though I realise now I should have stopped. The area is sore to touch, and I have to push my self up to sit up in bed, and cannot use abdo muscles without pain in the area. It is really low, and almost central, sort of to the right of my bladder. Anyway- my question is, how severe do you think it may be? I have read up on the grades of muscle strains, and am not sure if I am a grade 2 or 3. Worried as it says a grade 3 may need surgical repair. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank You x
