How to decrease muscle fatigue and aching legs during running
I have just got back into an exercise routine (jogging and fitness DVDs) after a couple of months off, and after two days of exercise all my leg muscles are KILLING me! I can barely walk, whcih is incredibly annoying. Are there any stretches / exercises that will reduce this muscle ache, or do I just have to sit it out?!
Also, should you work through muscle fatige? Every time I get up from my desk my legs hurt more, so I imagine walking is best to keep them supple. Is that right?
One last question - I really enjoy jogging and I average about 30 minutes, covering about 4 miles, but my legs get tired very quickly. This is bizarre as I have very muscular legs, and it;'s annoying becuase I feel I could go on for longer if my legs didn't start to ache so much. Should I be doing resistance training to strengthen leg muscles, or am I not warming up enough?
Any suggestions would be great!
