target heart rate
hello, i have a question i'd like some input on. i just started working out on the treadmill 2 weeks ago, and i like it. my goals are to lose weight, and build my heart up and drop blood pressure. i understand the different zones you need to be in and my the max heart rate. 220-age(30) =190
what i dont understand is everyone has a different resting hr. mines always been a little high all my life, even when i was in much better shape. im at about 90-95 per min resting. so if theyre going by %'s of max hr that formula is pretty generic. i got a heart rate monitor during yesterdays workout and i was between 140-145 bpm.
