I am 23 years old and regularly do cardio exercises on the bicycle. Ocassionally I get about 1, maybe 2 feelings of a missed heartbeat during this form of exercise.
My doctor gave me an echocardiogram, showed my heart to be in perfect health. She also gave me 2 EKGs, both fine. I asked for a stress test but she said it wasn't necessary. But what are these palpitations and do other people experience them? They mostly occur when I am doing high intensity cardio, and they don't stop me from continuing they simply startle me.
I get an occasional skipped beat. I know what you mean- they can be startling! I spoke with my own doctor, and she says it's nothing to worry about. If your doctor says you're good, then probably you're fine. If you truly become concerned, ask your doctor if you can do a holter monitor for 24 hours, and do your normal routine so that when you induce a heart palpitation during exercise the monitor can record it.
i suffer with these and my doctor told me that my heart is fine she put it down to cardiophobia there are very few people that can feel there heart beat and your always aware of this more noticable when i do cardio
