There are several possible culprits. The first one that comes to mind is that your posture is not stellar when working out... with those types of workouts, you need to constantly engage your core (keep abs tight) or you will build your abs protruding rather than flat.
Another cause could be what you eat and whether you are getting enough water and good fat in your diet. Your body needs energy to burn when working out or it will rapidly create some for itself (turn food into fat reserves to burn when working out). Water retention will give that bloated look. You should be drinking at least eight 8 oz glasses of water even if you are not working out so up to 12 glasses a day would be best when you are working out.
It may be a combination of all of these things that is causing your tummy to increase rather than decrease.
