Hi All
Sometimes when I workout, my chest, thighs, or arms start itching profusely. I begin scratching all over and get red. I read that I am experiencing an allergic reaction involving my blood vessels. It becomes very difficult for me to complete my routine. Tomorrow, I am going to take an antihistamine to see if that helps. I hope I don't get lethargic. Again, it doesn't happen everytime I workout. Anyone have insight on this matter?
It could be a physical allergy, triggered by heat, sweat or both.
It might help to take a cool shower before exercising and to exercise in a cool room with clothing aimed at wicking away sweat. Antihistamines also can help.
Hi
I rarely sweat and I keep the fans running or AC on if needed. In fact, I am cold natured. Also, I wear light and comfortable clothing. Hence, these variables are constant. I had to stop working out for 2 weeks, due to a shoulder injury; but I am a workout junky, so getting back on track wasn't much of an issue. However, I did read that lack of excercise can cause this problem. Perhaps, the break had an affect on my body. I will try an antihistamine until my body readjust. Thank you.

Hello
I am anemic, so I am cold natured, thin, and do not sweat unless I do Insanity or my extensive work out days. I also utilize the AC on days over 85'. This happens sporadically with no clear variable. I agree, it must be an allergic reaction of sorts. It is fairly not uncommon from the responses on fitness message boards.
