advice on new routine and improving health

Im looking to start a cardio routine I have severe digestive issues so its hard for me to do a lot of exercise and food is always an issue, one of my problems consist of a hital hernia so I want to reduce my gut so theres less issue there, my other issue is reflux with gastritis but my drs think the ppi medicines might be causing more harm then good so im going to be weaning off of that which will be a whole process its self

I have an exercise bike I plan on using,my main questions would be I plan on juicing as well is it better to make a juice before my workout or after, if before how long after I drink it should I wait to work out or I donít have to wait?

And I assume I should eat after my workout not before? I plan on waking up dealing with my normal morning issues with my stomach and then getting my work out in right away

Is there any other exercises that are easy enough for me to help lose weight in the house and benefit my hernia

Remember im very out of shape right now not extremely overweight im 160lbs height is 5í4 but just not active enough due to my health issues

So cant be doing anything to crazy I would like to lose 20-30lbs

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Re: advice on new routine and improving health

Greetings! I am sorry about the digestive issues. I think a good exercise might be walking every day for a few minutes after meals and also an hour daily. I would eat more salads with homemade dressing. I would use no vinegar, spices, mayonnaise, mustard ketchup, because these will contribute to stomach difficulties. A slice or two of bread with a bit of avocado spread on it might help satiety until the next meal. If avocado is not comfortable other vegetable or bean spreads may be made. The nut foods can be harder to digest. The stomach should be comfortably full never stuffed.

I would wait for a little while after meals before drinking water and would not drink water during the meal. I would drink water up to twenty minutes to a half hour before meals. On awakening the stomach can be filled with water and then wait a bit before breakfast. The water contributes to the mucous barrier and thickens it so that stomach acid is less likely to burn inside. Some onions and okra may be eaten. There are other foods for the stomach also and if a longer list is desired let me know. Peace, sjb
