exercises for knee

Hey everyone!
i had fluid in my left knee so my doctor had me take a couple weeks off of exercising. I saw a specialist, who wasnt helpful with my knee pain. He said its slightly off because im female and the pelvis has to be wider and its theory that its for child birth. So im looking for exercises to strengthen my legs or my body in general. Anything would be great. And if anyone has ran into this theory before i would appreciate your thoughts on it! Thank you

Re: exercises for knee

Think your sore knee has nothing to do with your pelvis and child bearing. I started kettle bell training because of a sore knee and before long the pain eased and now as long as I keep up with my classes, I don't have a problem. Give this exercise regime a try you will see an improvement.

Re: exercises for knee

Place your left foot on the first step of a stairway and your hand on the wall or banister for balance. Slowly step up onto your left foot so you are standing tall on the step with your left foot, and your right foot's off the ground. Slowly stand up, using deliberate, controlled movements, until you reach your full height. Slowly bend your right knee, sliding your heel along the floor toward your butt until you feel a gentle stretch in the thigh muscles.

Re: exercises for knee

I started suffering from knee pain. I first realized I needed to lose some weight-sometimes any little extra weight can me murder on the knees. I then started exercising-I barely have knee pain now. I also buy chocolate covered "ginger" and eat two a day ( bought this at my local health food store)..I'm not kidding..this has helped my knee problem and I also had restless leg syndrome..since eating ginger..I don't suffer from it at all.
