Eye moving to the right off center

Today I noticed when I look in the mirror and looking straight ahead my right eye will move to the right by itself. Not sure what's causing this. I did just start this job 5 days ago and I have to look at the PC 8 hours a day and not use to looking at it that long. Not sure if it has anything to do with it but it's got my anxiety up a little bit. Anybody else had this happen? Could it be medication related?

Re: Eye moving to the right off center

It sounds like lazy eye...called Amblyopia. I have it, but very mild....when i relax my eyes, my right moves a bit outward.

What is your vision like in that eye? Mine is quite far sighted. I had my patched when I was in grade 5, but it didnt help....I realise now that it is to be treated with patching around 3 years or so.

Yours sounds very mild, especially if you've just noticed it.

I would suggest you see an optometrist for a proper evaluation on your vision and if it is indeed lazy eye.

Regarding being on the computer....there are exercises you can do to prevent eye strain throughout the day and to help strengthen your eyes.

Please let us know the outcome. Best to you on your new job!
