Flying after Retinal Detachment Surgery

Hello
My husband had surgery to repair a detached retina 12 days ago. He still has the bubble and it has not started to decrease in size, which the surgeon says is normal at this point. He can now get up and move around 30 minutes of every hour. My question is this: We have an Alaskan Cruise planned for August 19th, which is two months away still. Does anyone have experience with flying 10 weeks after surgery? We really don't want to miss this trip.

happy to hear your husband is doing a little better. It would be better to contact the doctor who did the operation and ask if its okay for him to travel. good luck

Thanks. His doctor just says "we will see"....just wondering if anyone had traveled within that time frame who has had that surgery.
