If you're not afriad of loss or theft I'd go for something more than the minimum. Well known brand names often offer better quality lenses with less distortion. Look for good UV protection, wraparound or large lenses, gray or blue tint. I read that for some reason the brown or yellow tints don't offer as good protection. More expensive pairs often give better scratch resistance, but not always. Buy a hard case to go with them and use it.
