genuine reasons for glassy bloodshot eyes
i have expressed my concerns to my 26 yr old employee[an alcholic], about his slightly closed, glassy looking eyes that have been lookin like **** for the last two weeks. he cant explain it and insists on not drinkin much and not taking drugs. they dont look clear and sharp like they should, they look like he is on drugs. could there be a genuine reason?..........russ

Genuine reason for blood shot eyes? sure....he could have eye problems. Take me for example...I've got so much scarring from past surgeries that my eyes are constantly 'appear' blood shot.....wearing contacts doesn't really help either. Lack of sleep can do it....

As for glassy eyes...my left eye appears glassy most of the time because of the way my contact sits on it.

However I can't really think of many 'good' excuses for glassy eyes.

Here's a thought get the guy into a bright light and see how his pupils react....someone who is under the influence their pupils will not react as fast as someone who is not.
