Eye Pain - Eye & Vision Message Board

Just wondering if anyone could help. My 10 year old son has been complaining of eye pain for a few months. He says his eyes sting, but they do not water or are not red. It really botheres him at times. I do not think it is allergys because of no redness or watering. He is a type 1 diabetic also. Should I bring him to the Dr. for this? Does any one have any ides?

Hi. It would be wise to have him checked by an opthalmologist. With diabetes, there can be changes to the eyes. I don't think this would cause the stinging, but I've known a few diabetics, and they routinely go to an opthalmologist. as a routine part of their care. I guess the stinging could be a lot of things, and would be good to get it checked out.
