I have a question about eye dilation. I had my eyes dilated last Thursday the following day when all should of gone back to normal my pupils became tiny and consticted even in dark rooms?? I called the eye care center and spoke with the on call Doctor who said that was unusual but nothing to worry about and if it is not better by tuesday to come in. Well on Sunday it started getting better but one pupil seemed to be bigger then the other I just thought that maybe one eye was adjusting back to normal faster then the other? Well it has now been a week since dilation and my pupils are still of unequal size. I went back to the eye doctor today and he said he has never seen this happen before but not to worry about it as the eye is not a perfect instrument and as long as my pupils constrict to light it is fine. Im just wondering if any one else has had a strange reaction to eye dilation??
I have a problem with my pupils being constricted for the last 3 or 4 months.
I'm not sure what initiated the problem but I feel a lot of pressure sometimes and some aching... feels like my eyes are going to explode.
Do yours feel like that?
Anyway like you, my pupils no longer respond to the dark. Or any thing else.
Infact I can barely see my eyes in a mirror.
Well it has been several months now but my pupils are still of unequal size and they seem constricted a bit more then most people. As far as pressure feeling yes I do feel some pressure but only in my right eye. I am use to it now and my eyes have been examined by glaucoma specialist retinal specialist and so on so I guess I am ok. Let me ask you are you on any prescription medications?? That can cause eyes to have strange reactions. If you are able to perhaps you will want to have an eye exam with an opthomoligist just to be sure you are fine. Also just want to throw this out there that migraine headaches can also cause some pupil problems and cause a pressure feeling as if your eye will explode. Those are just some avenues to go down.
