a little swelling the eye - Eye & Vision Message Board

this swelling in the eye i have just noticed today. it swells on the eye lid near my nose(bottom one). its not a biig swell, it a small swell, that you have to look closer to notice. and on the other side of my eyelid(where u can see red) i could see a little black dot on the place where i hurt.

can you tell me what this is, and is it serious?

i have been on the computer for a very long time, possibly 15 hours per day so yeah.. lol

It sounds like either an eye infection and/or something stuck in your eyelid.
An ophthalmologist or other medical professional should be able to tell what it is.
It's your eye, so don't delay.
You could try warm compresses and cold packs, but, it is your eye.
