Exclamation Blurred vision is getting worse

Recently in the past 2 weeks, my vision has gone from a little blurry to extremely blurry. I don't know what could be causing this but I do have a congentinal cateract in my right eye and I have a focusing problem. But I do wear glasses but they are not helping. What could this be?

Any comments or idea's would help me out....ps I don't have any health insurance and don't know what to do?

Re: Blurred vision is getting worse

Hi. Is the blurry vision in both eyes, or just the eye with the cataract?

Could you afford to see an optometrist? They don't really charge that much. If you went to one in Walmart, you might be able to put it on a credit card (just guessing).

How come you've never had the congenital cataract removed?

Re: Blurred vision is getting worse

I have blurred vision in both eyes but not so bad in my eye without the cataract. I haven't gotten the cataract removed before b/c the doctor's told me that it wouldn't do any good. Well I am trying to get medicaid but I don't know if that has gone through yet or not? I am hoping that it has b/c I really need to go have my eyes looked at bad. I would go to see an opthamologist but I have to see how much it would cost to see one without insurance. I am hoping that its not too much!!!

Frequently doctors will have some sort of "sliding scale" payment policy for those without insurance. And often they will allow you to make no-interest payments. You could call around and see what they have to say when you ask.
